Ok. This is my first post and MY OPINION. But i've been here for a while and I was here for the whole Killallah controversy and I know alot of people here and i'd like to know one thing. Why is Wearemages a public mod? I can understand that he is helpful on IRC. But I can name a few people that are more qualified then him. For instance MaNing. And MaNing I know your going to say "S0beit chose wearemages over me so i'll just wait until next time." Or something along the lines of said statement. But MaNing deserves public mod over Wearemages. MaNing is helpful on both IRC and the forums. I'm not going to bring the fact that MaNing has almost if not 600 more posts then Wearemages because post count does qualify a user for moderator. But it does show how active they are. And WeareMages isnt all to active in my opinion. Here are some reasons.
Friends:
WeareMages: wearemages has not made any friends yet
Well that obviously shows that either no one wants to be his friend or hes barely active. I can understand both parts in the situation. I've seen WeareMages on IRC and sometimes he can be nice but other times he's a total jerk.
MaNing: Showing Friends 1 to 10 of 16
Hmm.. Well that shows that people both like MaNing and that MaNing is opbviously active. He may not be a mod but he does act like one. Which is understandable since he should be one.
Registry Dates:
WeareMages: 09-08-2008
Congratulations he's been here for over 3 months. But he really hasnt shown any major activity for those 3 months.
MaNing: 09-17-2008
Funny.. WeareMages registered BEFORE MaNing and yet MaNing has over 500 more posts then him. In this case, Posts do matter because it shows how active they have been for the 3 months they were here. In 3 months MaNing acumulated 655 posts. In 3 months WeareMages acumulated 80 posts. See the difference? MaNing was here for a shorter time then Wearemages and yet he has more posts? Since I know both of them are here for more the just free hacks I think i'm allowed to beleive that they both should have atleast 200+ posts.
Friendliness:
I've talked to both MaNing and Wearemages.
WeareMages: Sometime's in a good mood but handles spammers/people asking for public hack info with flaming or cursing. And usually both are involved. It's nice that you try to keep order but flaming the living daylights out of them isn't going to do anything but raise your blood pressure and make the person your talking to either hate TGS or cause them to start flaming or cursing at you.
MaNing: Always in a good mood when I talk to him. And he doesn't handle spammer or people asking for public hack stuff with flaming or cursing. Instead, He uses Logic and a calm tone. He doesn't flame or yell. He just says, "Spaming isnt tolerated. The public hack will be released soon. Just be patient" Or something like that depending on the situation.
Age:
From what I gathered, MaNing is 15 years of age and WeareMages is 14 years of age. Why is this important you may be asking? Well as a wiseman once said, "With age comes maturity and wisdom" Which is exactly why this section was added. And what that wiseman once said is true. MaNing who is older then Wearemages acts more maturely then WeareMages does. Now don't get me wrong here. I'm not saying acting childish every now and again is bad. Because it's not. It's just acting immaturely when maturity is needed is a bad thing. Which is what WeareMages does SOMETIMES.
Conclusion:
In conclusion. My opinion is that WeareMages shouldn't be a mod at all. Whether it be for suggestions or combat arms. There are other members out there who are more experienced, mature, active, friendly then he is. Which is why MaNing should be the replacement for the ex-moderator Killallah.
